A new One Product

Hi everybody !

Before telling you more about our crazy project, let’s introduce ourselves. We are three young students in a French Business School and all of three are real drinker of milk. In Europe, drinking milk is an habit and an evidence if you know the very numerous nutritional qualities of milk. Indeed, more than a tasty drink, the milk is source of calcium, essential in the constitution of the skeleton and of the teeth thus indispensable for children, but also of many proteins, vitamins and lactose.

Yet, in some countries and especially in Africa, where 10 000 children die every day of malnutrition, drinking milk is still out of reach for many people. That seemed really incredible for great drinker of milk  like us!

We wanted to choose a food product for our One product because we think that it’s only when the alimentary problem is solved that others Africa’s burdens could be address. Our choice has naturally fallen on the milk because of all its nutritional benefits.
Many NGO's have partially contributed to develop dairy farming in Eastern Africa (for instance in Kenya, Tanzania or Soudan) by catering to local intensive farms' needs. But still, some countries like Mali, Burkina Faso or Etiopia are facing numerous difficulties as regards milk commercialization (like too much additional costs).

African countries are largely dependent on milk imports and there is a lot to do solve the problems of land pressure and demographic squeeze : that's for us the only way to improve dairy-farming and modernize production structures. Food aid from part of developed countries have been noticeably decreasing : therefore, we think that it is a main problem to tackle.
